Our classic occasional tables are crafted from Grade A teak with mitered corners and mortise and tenon joinery. Endlessly versatile, these simple, classic forms never go out of style. High quality Grade A teak requires very little maintenance and will weather to a beautiful silver-grey patina.

Kingsley-Bate’s Mendocino tables strike a different note with clean, square lines and a more substantial weight. Mendocino pairs well with modern or transitional seating collections.

our exclusive stools by sergio j. matos

Our exclusive Flora & Twist stools are designed by Brazilian designer Sergio J. Matos. Matos has been steadily making a name for himself in the international design circuit, carving a niche for his signature pieces that combine a modern sensibility with traditional regional craftsmanship all from nautical rope. All pieces are handmade from weather-friendly materials that are appropriate for indoor or outdoor use.

The inspiration for the Flora stool comes from the Ipê tree, an icon of the Brazilian flora. The stool’s steel structure branches out into stylized leaves that cover the seat and span over the whole top, suggesting an invisible balance between strength and lightness. The rigid stainless-steel frame is dressed with naval rope, which enhances the geometric design and imparts texture to the foliage. The Twist Stool concept for this piece comes from the shape of the carambola fruit, or starfruit, common in these tropical latitudes.  The structure is made of aluminum and covered by hand with naval rope.
